Training camp is finally underway and the Birds are finally back on the field. At Nick Siriannis press conference today, he revealed that Reagor is fighting for a place in the team. Fans shouldn’t be surprised by Reagore’s lack of contributions, but it’s the first time Sirianni or anyone else has admitted they’re not a lock to be on the team heading into the 2022 season.

So far this year, Reagor hasn’t played starters at all. He’s stuck in the second-team backups, and it seems almost impossible for him to make the first-team reps. He is currently No. 6 on the depth chart behind AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Quez Watkins, Zach Pascal and Greg Ward. It seems very unlikely that the Eagles will keep six receivers, so Jalen Reagor will have to beat out at least one guy to make the team.

Sirianni also revealed that Reagor is also fighting for a return spot. Eagles fans know how terrible he is in the return game, so even if they don’t bring in some exciting players like Britain Covey or Devon Allen, it will be difficult for him to return.

It’s nice to see someone as valuable as Sirianni finally admit that Rhaegar isn’t as talented as we’d all hoped and that they weren’t committed to him because he was a first-round pick. It’s possible we’ll enter Week 1 with Reagor at the bottom of the depth chart, but he’ll either be on the practice squad or not on the team at all.
