Summer is near. As the weather warms and the days get longer, people around the city are looking for ways to spend time outdoors.

New this summer, Pirate Rum Challenge takes adult guests through the adventures of seven pirates. Visitors can test their skills by walking on the board, “firing” the cannon, singing the sea huts with a free cocktail.
The Pirate Challenge is offered Thursday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., for $ 18 per person. Tickets can be purchased in person.
The return of orthography at the Museum of the Seaport of Independence begins on Sunday, May 8, and ends on Saturday, October 22. Guests can choose from six different excursions designed to give visitors a unique view of the Delaware River. Kayak Excursions range from three to 10 miles and offer both beginner and advanced options.
