Over the past four seasons, those around the NBA have had high hopes for the Sixers, but unfortunately, they have never been able to get off the hill in the playoffs.

Actually, the Sixers have yet Despite the big names coming through the city, it hasn’t made it past the second round of the NBA playoffs since 2001. Big names like Doc Rivers, Daryl Morey, Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, James Harden, Jimmy Butler, Dwight Howard, Al Horford and Tobias Harris came to Philly, but all of those teams failed to make any real noise in the Eastern Conference. that has been wide open for the most part. It’s just that year after year the 76ers fall short when it matters.

The Sixers are no longer an up and coming team, they have a lot of playoff experience, a lot of wins and losses, but they are still in the same position heading into the 2022-2023 season.

After adding big names and shaking up the coaching staff and front office in previous years, the Sixers spent this offseason adding bold players like PJ Tucker and Montrezl Harrell, players who will dominate this team. Tucker and Harrell, respectively, are two players who will do the dirty work and give this team a fiery personality they haven’t had in the recent past.

You may have hot names like Joel Embiid and James Harden, but even Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen needed a player like Dennis Rodman to have sustained success. Year after year, it is proven that the team aspect of the NBA wins. NBA teams that win consistently and grow together have a clear plan. Super teams continue to emerge in the league, but it’s proven year after year that you can succeed in the NBA.

For every Jordan there’s a Rodman, for every Steph Curry there’s a Draymond Green, the NBA isn’t an individual game, it’s a team game for a reason. For the first time in a long time, this Sixers team can truly take on the identity of the city they play in. Get ready for the Sixers version of the Broad Street Bullies.
