Union hosts Paxten Aaronson, Quinn Sullivan and Jack McGlynn illuminate the USYNT-U20. The trio have 5 goals for the United States in the 2022 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. While Brandan Craig contributes to the locking defense.
The union is deprived of their youthful benches. Despite the shortening of the union, young homeowners shine with extended minutes. Are the homeowners forcing Jim Curti’s hand to give them more minutes?
Plenty of hands
In this window, the 3rd striker highlights the scoreboard. The latest comes from Quinn Sullivan. Sullivan scored a hat-trick against Cuba. His third goal of the game was a great pass from Pakhten Aaronson.

In the previous game, Jack McGlynn scored against Canada. McGlynn may be the best left foot together.
Jack McGlynn, definitely scored a goal! #DOOP

It all started in the first game of the window when Pakhten Aaronson scored in just 3 minutes.

The children are collecting now. This is their first chance in long minutes all season. Are they preparing to run with the Union starting at 11?
More minutes in the future?
There is no doubt that the trio of Aaronson, Sullivan and McGlynn are now gathered. This comes at a time when Union crime seems to be stagnant, as it was under Jim Curtin.
Should their game give them more minutes? Absolutely. However, it is difficult to answer the question of whether they are trusted to play a leading role.
Before the international break, Paxten Aaronson was already used as Cory Burke. An action that will continue with the suspicion of Sergio Santos in the near future. Especially with Burk playing at the lowest level, we saw from him.
The biggest dilemma is that the forward position is not the root cause of the Union’s offensive. The midfield forward does not produce enough quality to achieve our goals. The brightest hole in the attack is Leon Flach. Flach brings a lot in defense. His offensive contribution is about 0. Can Jack McGlynn or Quinn Sullivan help with that? Absolutely. However, Jim Curtin will have to decide whether Flach will replace him or stay in the starting lineup.
Jim Curti’s substitutions have always been rightly checked. Although his bench is a wall in the USYNT with the kids, there is no excuse not to give them a minute when Curtin returns.
Curtin could not continue to watch the silence of the attack for 80 minutes and eventually threw Sullivan, Aaronson or McGlynn. Children deserve more opportunities to influence the Union.
